Wipe gently with a dry soft cloth after play. Avoid moisture to preserve the wood’s warmth.
Wipe quickly with a tightly wrung damp cloth, then dry immediately. Avoid alcohol or detergents — they damage the grain.
Apply a thin coat of plant oil (e.g. linseed) twice a year to preserve the grain. Let it dry for several hours.
